Face the Students

18-24 year-olds are consistently one of the lowest voting demographics. Face the Students is an interactive service that allows students to be the media and directly ask politicians questions what they care about.

  • Caucus - answered questions on the proper role of government and taxesatForest Park High School (Prince William County)in October of 2010.
  • Interacting - Students pose the selected questions to the candidates.
  • Voting - Students hold officials accountable by rating the candidates' responses. Students will have an opportunity to voice their opinions in a comment section.
    More than 25,000 students have proposed questions:
  • Congressional Candidates Rob Wittman and Krystal Ball - Students must form groups and collaborate to determine questions that will be asked.
  • Corey Stewart and 2 other candidates for Prince William Board of County Supervisors - fielded questions on controversial topics, such as immigration, from students at Gainesville Middle School (Prince William County) in October of 2011.
  • Former Governors Tim Kaine and George Allen - took questions regarding Energy and Economic policy from27 Districts in Virginia (60 schools) using Face the Students.
  • VA Governor Race - Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe - answered questions from 20 VA districts in Oct 2013.
